Returns & right of withdrawal

Everything below applies in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer in the European Union. Nothing here limits them. Please read the conditions on returns carefully — they affect what you get back.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

As a consumer in the EU you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party named by you other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods.

How to start a return

Email us before sending anything back. Tell us your order number and which items you are returning. We reply within one business day with a return reference and the correct return address.

Returns sent without contacting us first can take considerably longer to identify and process, and we cannot refund a parcel we cannot match to an order. You may also use the model withdrawal form at the foot of this page — it is not obligatory, and an email is enough. Sending your notice before the 14 days expire is sufficient; it does not have to have reached us by then.

Return shipping is at your cost

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. We do not provide prepaid return labels for withdrawal returns, and we do not refund the postage you pay to send an item back.

Send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you notified us. We recommend a tracked service: until the parcel reaches us, it remains your responsibility, and we cannot refund goods that do not arrive.

Condition of returned goods, and deductions

You may examine and try the GrowPod as you would in a shop. You are liable for any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, and we deduct that loss from your refund.

In practice we deduct for:

  • Missing parts — the power adapter, grow pouches, nutrient sachets, manual or packaging inserts
  • Scratches, scuffs, water marks, limescale or damage to the housing or light panel
  • Units returned dirty, with water still in the reservoir, or with used grow pouches left in the collars
  • Damage caused by misuse, by immersion, or by use outdoors — the GrowPod is rated IP42 and is for indoor use only

Please return the item clean, dry, complete and in its original packaging where you still have it.

Consumables

Grow pouches and plant food are sealed for hygiene and product protection. Where such goods have been unsealed after delivery, they cannot be returned for reasons of health protection and hygiene. Sealed, unopened packs can be returned under the normal 14-day right.

When you get your money

We refund all payments received from you, including the standard delivery cost for the least expensive delivery option we offer, no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your withdrawal. We refund to the original payment method and charge no fee for doing so.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you supply proof that you have sent them, whichever comes first. If you chose a more expensive delivery option than our standard one, the difference is not refunded.

Damaged or faulty on arrival

This is separate from, and in addition to, the right of withdrawal. If your order arrives damaged or does not work, email us within a reasonable time of delivery with your order number and photographs showing the fault and the packaging. We will arrange a replacement or a refund, and you do not pay return costs in that case.

Keep the packaging until the matter is resolved — carriers require it to settle a damage claim.

Two-year statutory warranty

Independently of the right of withdrawal, the statutory warranty of two years from delivery applies to everything we sell. If a fault appears within that period that was present at delivery, you are entitled to have it put right. The warranty does not cover wear, accidental damage, or faults caused by use contrary to the instructions — including immersion, outdoor use, or use with a power adapter other than the one supplied.
